  • Trust Wallet is available as a mobile app for iOS and Android users and as a browser extension for Chrome, Brave, Opera, Edge, and more.

Introduction

As more people use cryptocurrencies and decentralized applications (DApps), it's become increasingly important to have a safe and simple way of accessing them. Whether you're interested in investing, payments, or DApps, having multiple solutions for different activities can get inconvenient.

That's where an easy-to-use, all-in-one package like Trust Wallet helps. As part of the Binance ecosystem, Trust Wallet is a solid recommendation for Binance users. It's also one of the most popular cryptocurrency wallets available, with over 70 million users.

What Is Trust Wallet?

Trust Wallet is a non-custodial wallet, which means users are responsible for holding and managing their seed phrases and private keys. As a multi-chain crypto wallet, Trust Wallet gives you access to multiple networks in one application, making it easy to explore Web3 platforms and DApps.

Trust Wallet was launched in November 2017 by Viktor Radchenko and immediately gained a large user base. Binance acquired Trust Wallet in 2018, and Eowyn Chen, former Binance Marketing VP, took over as CEO in early 2021.

Trust Wallet is a secure, open-source, and decentralized crypto wallet. You can use it on your mobile or browser to access:

What Can I Do With Trust Wallet?

Trust Wallet wallet supports more than 70 blockchains, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Solana, and many more. Apart from buying, storing, and transferring crypto assets, you can also use Trust Wallet to swap tokens, play games, earn rewards, and explore the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Another key feature for Trust Wallet mobile users is its built-in DApp browser.

Trust Wallet DApp browser

Built within the Trust Wallet mobile app is its Web3 DApp browser. This lets you interact and access DApps and DeFi platforms without leaving the Trust Wallet app. You can use a variety of DApps, including OpenSea, PancakeSwap, 1inch, and Uniswap.

Staking

There are multiple available staking options, including BNB, Polkadot (DOT), Cosmos (ATOM), and much more. Your actual returns will depend on the validators and staking opportunities available at the time, with more to be added.

Swap and trade

Users can swap between tokens within the Trust Wallet app. There are millions of cryptocurrency pairs available to trade. The swaps are easy to do, and Trust Wallet doesn’t charge any fees. However, note that you will have to pay the fee charged by third-party liquidity providers, such as 1inch, Uniswap, and others. Trust Wallet automatically selects the provider that offers the best rates.

Buy crypto

Trust Wallet enables users to buy cryptocurrencies using fiat with multiple on-ramp providers. You can buy cryptocurrencies directly in the Trust Wallet app. It’s worth noting that you can get reduced fees by holding Trust Wallet tokens (TWT) in your wallet.

Where Can I Download Trust Wallet?

Trust Wallet is available as a mobile app (iOS and Android) and as a desktop browser extension. You can access the official download links on the Trust Wallet website. Always confirm you're using the official website when downloading any crypto wallet or crypto exchange app.

How to Setup and Connect Trust Wallet to BSC?

As soon as you download and install Trust Wallet, you will find all the necessary instructions to set it up. The process is quite simple and should take less than a minute. But if you want a tutorial on how to set up Trust Wallet and connect it to BSC, we recommend the following guide: Connecting Trust Wallet to BNB Smart Chain (BSC).

How to Add Custom Tokens to Trust Wallet

Trust Wallet supports millions of tokens and hundreds of blockchain networks. However, the default token list might now show the token you are looking for. Fortunately, it’s very easy to solve this problem. Follow the steps below to add a custom token to your Trust Wallet.

1. Scroll to the bottom of your Trust Wallet token list and click [Manage crypto].

2. Next, find the token you want to add and toggle the button on. You can use the search bar at the top to search for the token by its name or contract address.

In most cases, you can find the contract address on the project’s official channels or through websites like CoinMarketCap or CoinGecko.

3. If you still can’t find the token you are looking for, scroll down and click the button [Didn’t see your crypto? Import].

4. Select the blockchain network of your token and add the contract address manually. Make sure the information is correct to avoid fake tokens.

5. That’s it! You will now see your newly added token and balance in your Trust Wallet token list.

What Is the Trust Wallet Token (TWT)?

Trust Wallet Token (TWT) is a governance token that lets users participate in the wallet's decision-making process. TWT holders vote on and propose in-app features, updates, and other key changes. The TWT token has a maximum supply of 1,000,000,000 TWT and exists as a BEP-20 token on the BNB Smart Chain (BSC) and as a BEP-2 token on the BNB Beacon Chain.

TWT holders can also receive discounts on DEX services and cryptocurrency purchases. You can buy Trust Wallet Token on Binance or earn it through marketing campaigns, giveaways, and airdrops held by the Trust Wallet team.

Is Trust Wallet Safe to Use?

Yes. Trust Wallet is part of the Binance ecosystem and implements the best security protocols. Trust Wallet was independently audited by multiple industry leaders, including CertiK, Halborn, and Kudelski Security.

Trust Wallet doesn't track any personal information, such as balances or IP addresses. In addition, users are in total control of their private keys and seed phrases. The wallet also offers built-in risk monitoring tools to alert users and help safeguard their assets from potential scams or risky transactions.

However, it’s important to consider the risks of holding your own keys. You might lose your funds if your seed phrase gets lost or compromised. You should also stay vigilant when navigating the DeFi and Web3 space. Connecting your Trust Wallet to malicious websites may also lead to hacks and financial losses. Make sure you only interact with reputable platforms and always double-check the URL to avoid phishing scams.

Closing Thoughts

Trust Wallet offers a versatile product for anyone HODLing coins, interacting with decentralized finance (DeFi) DApps, or even looking to buy cryptocurrencies. Much of the work in crypto adoption relies on providing straightforward, one-stop solutions, and Trust Wallet offers just that.
